McConnell, in private, doubts the Trump can save the presidency

Mitch McConnell has like a 9% approval rating.  I am not sure if that is just how it ends up when you are the leader of the senate or not.

How do you reconcile the threat to shut down government if he doesn't get money for his wall, when he said over and again that Mexico would pay for it? How about the crumbling infrastructure of the country, and those third-world airports he was so critical about?  And with all the golf, he's not even trying to get congress to unite. We've seen presidents govern with minorities in both houses. Even Obama got a ton of work done, despite the promise from the GOP to block his initiatives. 

I HOPE he shuts down the government in order to push through legislation for the wall, and I AM A FEDERAL EMPLOYEE. We will pay for it up front and they will pay for it on the back end, it's pretty simple what will actually happen in regards to it. I would love for to start getting to work on the other stuff he needs to get done but first the Dems need to start actually doing what they need to do for the country and stop trying to blow smoke up people's behind. 

 

I am pissed off at the Republicans at this point in time myself, so don't think I ain't mad at them either. They have the majorities in both houses of Congress and can't get ####### done. The all need to be run out of town.

I've mentioned before on here I have little sympathy for McConnell because he took this country on the wrong path back in 08 when Obama was just elected and said they wanted to make him a one term president. He also didn't discourage the whole birth certificate nonsense which led to Trump's rise in the political field.

 

Mitch made his bed and he now has to lie in it. His 9% approval rating is based on one poll following the failure to pass Obamacare but he has another five years in office so he's not going to worry about being reelected right now.

Politico now reporting Trump has been badgering GOP Senators for not sticking up for him against Mueller and the Russia Sanctions bill. Funny how he seems very interested in the intricacies of the Mueller and Russian sanctions bills but can't be bothered to deal with anything else legislatively.

I'm not sure whats unhealthier for the population of leftists, repeatedly ignoring the fact that Trump isn't being impeached any time soon, or the addiction to fake news while overlooking the every circumstance they're wrong. Either way, we tend to know where escalating mental health problems end.
