Please has anyone received instructions from the National Benefit center by mail on how their case would be processed.

If yes what are these instructions about?

Thanks

If your AOS-ing, there is not much information to tell. You will get notified when they need anything from you or when you are approved. You won't get notified of a transfer from the NBC to your local uscis office, until you get an interview appointment letter in.

AOS is different from K1. With k1 you get a letter everytime you pass a stage. With AOS, the only letters you will get are the NOA1, Biometrics letter and the interview appointment letter if you are to have an interview. But NBC will never mail you anything regarding how they intend to process your case.

Maybe take this time to update your profile and timeline.

You should get NOA1 very soon.  They are still processing the forms you just sent in 3 weeks ago.

Then you will get a letter for biometrics.  Just need some patience.

Hi, are biometrics required even for those who had it done during K1 interview?

Or during POE?

If so, are there any differences?

Yes, it is a requirement.

Biometrics at the POE is required since it provides identification about the person trying to enter the country and that identification is then passed to federal, state and local authority units. It also helps them to identify who is coming in fraudulently.

During the k1 visa process, biometrics is done to ensure that you are who you say you are and your prints are also shared with other departments and added to the database.
