Hi Everyone,

My wife and I are in process having DCF'd in Toronto back at the end of Feb. The consulate processed our approved I-130 7 days after we filed, and we received the packet back from them 7 days after that. So in 2 weeks, we had our Immigrant Visa application.

We just send back the DS-230 today and we're waiting for our police checks to come back before we send in the Document checklist. That's the only thing holding us back (that we know of).

We're also trying to plan ahead a bit, so does anyone have recent experience on how long it takes from turning in the document checklist until the interview? and when do we need to do the medical exam?

The packet we received from Montreal only had a cover letter, the DS-230, the Document Checklist, the I-864 packet and a supplemental form on what's needed for the Documents. Is there anything else we will need to prepare for besides a medical exam? other forms to fill out? anything we can get working on in the mean time?

Thanks!!!

sorry, the I-130 was approved in Toronto on the spot... I meant 7 days until Montreal processed it...
