Is 4hr layover enough in POE?

So I have two options for POE:

Denver or Minneapolis

i have a layover of 4 hours. Is that enough?

my final destination isn't either of them

It's safe at the very least. It depends how long port of entry takes -- it took me over two and a half hours in total with them opening the package, asking two quick questions and them making copies so yeah, go for the four hour lay-over. Rather be through within an hour and three hours of waiting, then missing your flight on a shorter layover - right?

Right. What POE did you go through?

4-hour transit is reasonable if you need to be processed longer than a tourist and don't forget you might have to re-check your bag from an international flight to domestic.

4 hour is just nice and perfectly fine, not too long and not too short  Being a worry wart myself, I personally would go with a bit longer because I rather wait longer than missing a flight for whatever reason

Detroit Airport. My case was a little different since they had to do something with medical documents and DOH had to be contacted of my arrival, too. (I had TB in 1994)

I think you'll be fine!

My POE will be Boston, and I have 3,5 hours and am not worried (yet).
Also... worst case if you get stuck for IO reasons you should be booked on another flight, worst worst case the day after.
So... even if you're stuck, worlds not going to end!

I didn't go through this before , but as I a see from member's comments that POE interview may last up to 4 hours (someone mentioned 3.5 hrs for the interview itself alone) , If it was me then I will add an extra hour for luggage check and collecting, an hour for being in queue and other administrative procedures, and an hour for extra unexpected issues, waiting for your next flight at the airport is less pain than missing it and later rescheduling it for a time that may not suit you (next possible flight may be the next day). In worst cases allowing a 7 hours layover may seem to be long but it will be better than missing a flight and waiting for next day or midnight flights

Yeah a 4 hour layover is a good time. It should be enough time for you to get through immigration and customs with time to spare as well. So in my book that is the right time to where it's long enough to do everything but not to long to be like OMG.

Remember that winter comes early to that part of the US. In other words, flight delays are possible.
