US Embassy in Moscow suspends Visa Services

Wow, this escalated quickly considering the vote a couple weeks ago. So now they are suspending the visa services for Russia. I wonder how that will affect people on this site currently going through the process.

You are correct, this is only impacting NIVs right now based on the statement from the Moscow Consulate.  Not sure how this will impact K1s as they are generally treated as Immigrant Visas.

   Putin's getting just as tired of the "winning" as everyone else. 

 

   Seriously, who couldn't see this coming. Putin's link to Trump is based on one thing, the belief (or hope) that sanctions would be reduced or ended. When it became obvious that Trump has no control over that, what does anything think would happen?

 

    It's not like Putin has a natural affinity for the Republicans. Russian media was insane over the possibility of Romney or McCain winning previous elections. It's not rocket science. Putin wanted something. He didn't get it. Trumps base should watch closely, they're going to know that feeling.
