EMERGENCY - Lost greencard, traveling to England

Hi Everyone,

My husband came here on a K-1 and received his green card last month. He just applied for a tourist visa to England and has his biometrics appointment tomorrow morning. He lost his wallet this morning which had his green card in it. I've heard that getting a replacement green card can take up to six months. Is there any way to expedite it, or is there paperwork that we could get from USCIS to use in the mean time? We do have the approval letter that said his green card was approved. We also have his AP/EAD card, and a photo of the green card. And we have his passport.

What do you think? Can we get a replacement quickly? I know this isn't a UK forum, but has anyone had success getting a visa to England when you only had a photo of your green card?

Thank you!

He can make an info pass appointment and get a stamp in his passport.

He will have to report the GC missing and pay the about $450 for a replacement card and it can take more then 6 months to get that.

I just tried to make an appointment and it said "Currently, there are no available appointments. Please check again tomorrow." Is this normal? Does this mean that they are booked for weeks or just for today?

File I-90 online and go to an infopass with the receipt. You can try a walk-in appointment to get an I-551 stamp.

Means they are booked for probably 14 days from now.

But as said by post above file the I-90 and try and walk in infopass he might have to wait awhile there but it is what it is.

I found an appointment at a different center for this afternoon! It's an hour away, but that's fine.

What is the form I-90? I tried Googling it and nothing came up. Do you have the name?

Thank you so much!

You can file online pay the fee of a total $540 and then take the receipt with you to the info pass then they will give him a stamp in the passport.
