Hello guys!! Do I have to take the originals of the NOA1 and NOA2 to the interview or a copy of each of them is sufficient?

I wasn't even aware that you need it for the interview, but copies should be fine if you have to take it.

I have been told that we need both of them together with the NVC letter for both the interview and for the AOS

AOS yes, but at least in London, they don't specify the NOAs. I might just take some copies incase anyway !

Yes I totally agree. Do you have any idea whether the embassy keep the documents we provide during the interview or they give them back?

I would assume they keep stuff (except photos etc..). Hence why you would need copies for them to keep. I will have to carefully go through the London checklist again just to make sure I am not missing anything

I hope they don't mind copies then. Because I will need some documents for the AOS too.

I am taking my original (issuing authority) birth certificate and copies of it, as you say, they can keep the copies, I need my birth certificate for AOS again, so they can't have it.

Can't you have two original birth certificates? Here in Tunisia we can have as much as we want and it is easy and cheap to get. While the police record we can have as much as we want too, but it needs more than 2 weeks to be ready.

The issue is, I was born in South Africa and it was a right mission to get hold of my birth certificate in the first place, so I am holding onto this one for good !! :D

If you want to be more sure about the interview documents and check list I advise you to take a look at February filers discussion, there are many applicants from London that you can ask there.

some people here give the advise that you need to bring the NOA1, NOA2 and NVC letters, but i have yet to see an actual account of people being asked for it (maybe the more experienced people on here may have seen cases of it though). if you would like to bring them just as an extra measure, just bring copies because the originals are needed for AOS and you definitely don't want to misplace or lose those. i took copies of all 3 to my interview and they were not need at all.

I had my interview on the last Thursday and they asked for neither NOA1 nor NOA2, and I didn't even take them with me. Just in case take copies. Your visa is K1 so this may be different than IR-1 visa
