Everyone,

I am still having difficulty with the I-129F. I have a few more questions:

1. The form asks for the employment history for the past 5 years. My fiancee has been with her current employer 4 years, 7 months. I need to account for 5 more months. She was unemployed for the 5 months previous to her current job. How do I indicate this on the I-129F?

2. In section 2, line 19.b. asks for the Employment End Date for the beneficiary's current job. My fiancee is still employed in this job, so I would think I should put "PRESENT" on this line. However, the PDF document will only accept numerical characters for this line. What should I do here?

Thanks in advance everyone!

Regards,

Steve

1) Input it in Part 8 Additional Information.

2) Print and write.

My original comment has timed out but I would like to correct something. On the I-129F, they have boxes for 2 employers. For her current job, of course you input it under Beneficiary's Employer 1. For the 5 months that she was unemployed, simply input the details under Beneficiary's Employer 2 as follows:

Item 20 Full name of employer: "None" OR "N/A"

Item 22 Beneficiary's occupation: "Unemployed"

Items 23a and 23b: State the dates accordingly to account for those 5 months

Answer to your second question remains. Just print the form and write "Present" with black pen.
