That's Donald John Trump on the White House South Portico, seemingly looking directly into the sun. At the peak of the solar eclipse. Without any sort of protective eye wear on.  (and supposedly encourage everyone else to do the same)

This, from the White House pool report of the moment filed by the Guardian's Ben Jacobs is, um, amazing: "At approximately 2:39, the President initially gesticulated to the crowd below and pointed at the sky. As he did so, one of the White House aides standing beneath the Blue Room Balcony shouted 'don't look.'"

Ok, I'm not the biggest Trump supporter either, but I mean, come on....Ok, yeah, he made himself look like a bit of fool again---but to make a news story about this?

Bread and circus, anything to detract from the reality that people don't approve of tantrums from a certain demographic who are upset at losing an election, people who likewise think doubling down on tantrums will get them what they want.

I did not begin the injection of Trump into this thread.  If you went back and read the context it might become clearer.

  The mention of Trump was benign, I don't think it needed to lead to assertions of the left being on crack. I hate to see you help drag your own topic down into the mud. There's plenty of others to discuss Trump.

The response was in the context of why was Trump being mentioned in a thread on the eclipse.  The reasons seem to be fairly evident.
