I have been reading and have run into this a couple times, can my fiance go through the CFO seminar ahead of interview and medical.
I was also wondering what shots are required for her and can she get them done elsewhere before going to st lukes in manila to cut down on time the medical actually takes.

Yes she can do CFO ahead of interview. She will need to return to a CFO location, doesn't matter which one she wants with her passport with visa attached. Shots are included in the price you pay for the medical. So if you have another reason then getting something your going to pay for anyway I suggest getting the shots from SLEC. They will know which wants she is going to need. If she is early enough and all things go as planed she may do it in one day but I would count on two.

There are some ongoing discussions here about whether or not the fiance(e) can take the GCP before receiving their visa. In my case my fiancée has 2 teenagers who need to go through the peer mentoring. The latest thought is that the fiance(e) can take the seminar with the visa. The kids need the visa in hand before the peer mentoring.

You up should be good to go on the seminar.

As as for the medical, my guess is she should be able to get the shots elsewhere as long as she has the appropriate paperwork to prove it.

I believe only 2 hots are required but they have optional shots available that my not be optional when she gets there. TDAP and MMR I believe everyone gets and they are included in the cost.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

There is conflicting information as to the appointment procedures for Cebu. I have see both, walk-ins are accepted and I've see appointment is necessary. I've seen that conflict on the website. What say you?

She can get them elsewhere no problem as long as she can show that she got them. The question is why would you? The fee for the medical examination also includes any and all vaccines that she will need at the time. If she does need some vaccines it literally is only an extra hour or two that is it.

Ya I have seen a page somewhere that still mentions walk-in for Cebu ... but that is obsolete info.    I don't seen the walk-in info now.. never find it when I want it.

Appointments required.

I missed that comment.  Glad you caught it.

Other point is, it save minimal time.  Primary medical is day one, day two is "results" and shots.   A lucky few get it all done in one day.

I can think of better ways to save some time.
