Medical Exam in Brazil

We have received the NOA2 and are awaiting word for the interview and medical exam in Rio.  My girlfriend has asked me to attend the interview which I will do but our question is about the medical exam.  I only have enough time to arrive and attend the interview.  Can someone tell me the timeline on getting the medical exam?  Must the beneficiary have the results of the exam when attending the interview?  I will arrive on Saturday, travel with her to Rio for the interview which I understand is always on Tuesday.  Can she get the medical exam on Monday and have the interview on Tuesday?  This is very important because I can only stay in Brazil for 4 or 5 days.

My fiance got the medical exam in Sao Paulo and it took them about a week to give him the results, since there are lab exams. So I'd say get the medical exam with at least 10 days prior to the interview. You do need the results for it, as stated, well, everywhere.

In Rio the exam needs to be done 3 business days before the appointment with the Embassy Doctor (Dr. Garrido) and Dr. Garrido will only accept to schedule the appointment via e-mail (rjconsultorio@gmail.com) only after her interview is scheduled with the Embassy. With the medical exam scheduled they suggest her to do the labs exams 3 days before the exam appointment with Dr. Garrido, once she has the 3 exams ready the lab will send the exams to Dr. Garrido. So she needs to stay in Rio for at least 4 business days only for the Doctor appointment and exams. After the Dr. appointment Dr. Garrigo will give her a sealed envelope with his notes and her exams and she cannot open it, this envelop will be open by the embassy at the interview.

Dr. Garrido and his secretary will provide all the information your fiancé need to know in regarding the lab's address and the pricing she needs to pay.

She can also try another Doctor near her:

I wrote the embassy since I have seen no where does it state you must have results before the interview... I was correct ... YOU DON'T NEED EXAM RESULTS at the interview, it only means that your approval is delayed until the results are received by the office.

perhaps because your visa is different from mine w/c is a CR1-IR1 visa, travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/family/immediate-relative-html#10, expressly states, Under Important Notice: Before your visa interview you must schedule and complete  your medical exams and all required vaccinations. No visa will be issued until your medical exams and all required etc are completed and submitted..

Usually visas are approved right after the interview if everything is in order, w/c includes the submission of the completed medical exams results, etc. so if  you don't submit it , your approval / visa issuance wont happen right after...Stated differently, II say it is a requirement at interview if you don't want any delay in getting your visa .

Starting new topic..

What are the options for receiving the results of the medical exam. Staying 4-5 days in a decent hotel can get expensive.
