Passport pictures

I very much appreciate all your thoughts and competence in this forum and I was wondering if I could ask you a question again as it is still unclear to me: My husband prepared the CR-1 petition in July and sent it in without my signature. He didn't include my passport pictures as I was outside the us. However, the wording could also suggests that my pictures are required but are not falling under the "should be taken within 30 days" requirement. Upon rereading this, we both believe we made a mistake?

 

However, it is what it is and we are now expecting a RFE. My husband is underway regularly for 4-6 weeks at a time, sometimes deploys for a few months. How can I maintain communication with UCSIS as I am the beneficiary but not the petitioner. Is it possible to copy me on the communication?

 

I just don't want us to miss deadlines and RFE's.

All RFEs will be mailed to the petitioner. They will not give any information via email or telephone. You have to wait to receive the actual letter. 

 

Your husband can ask a trusted friend or relative to collect his mail and search to find any correspondence from USCIS and have them take a pic of the letter and send to him if he will be deloyed for a good length of time because the RFE will have a stated deadline in which to reply.

By the way, anyone with the same question: I found this on a different immigration internet page.

 

The G-325A will no longer be required for either the petitioner or beneficiary in a spousal case. However, a new Form I-130A, Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary, must be submitted with every I-130 spouse case. It is used to collect background information on the beneficiary, such as address and employment history for the last five years, last physical address outside the United States, and parental information. If a spouse is overseas, the Form I-130A must still be completed, but the spouse abroad does not need to sign the form. Also, the instructions accompanying the new I-130 say two color passport-style photographs of both the petitioner and the beneficary spouse must be submitted, unless the spouse is abroad. In that situation only the petitioner’s photos are required.
