So, my fiance.. (beneficiary) was arrested 6-7yrs ago on the border for importing some food and wine (for himself) ..and was held for 3 days for questioning and was finally sent to jail for three months since they could not get any evidence on their accusation that the items were to be re-selled. The polce records show that he was arrested..but the arrest was in another country... he is to be interviewed in a couple of weeks...will this have him denied for visa?!.even if the charges were not related to anything extreme..such as assault, battery, weapons, drugs and so onn. Please help

I'm not sure if it would lead to a denial but it's best that he's honest about it when asked. He should also bring some documentation like court record, police record or any record that covers the arrest and jail time. Good luck!!
