On august 6 we emailed csc and told all our frustrations about the case. I even said there to let my email message be seen and read by an officer. I told them how its taking so long and that it will reach the 5-month period the next few days. So I asked them if they could give us a real update about our I-129f petition. On august 11 We received an email from csc (see attached  image below) and that was their response. It gave me hope, that at least they are now working on it, I suppose. So I waited and hoped for a good news coming the whole week and it never came. My fiance called uscis and spoke to a tier 2 officer and he said right now no officer was assigned to our case yet, andy f said well u guys said its currently adjudicating and he said back well im not sure if its sitting on an officer desk right now and waiting in line or maybe its still on the shelves. My hope was immediately dropped from 100 to zero real quick. I just dont understand why they would send us as an email as response to our inquiry telling us our case is currently being adjudicated and then tells us differently now saying our case was not assigned to an officer yet. It made me so confused! Someone please enlighten me. They are so inconsistent. We got our hopes up when we received their email a week ago and when my fiance called this morning I was crashed. 😭☹️

The email did say you'll receive your notice (could be approval, denial or RFE) within 45 days. It's not even 45 days yet. Give it some time. If you don't get anything at the end of the 45-day period, call and follow up with them again. By then, if they are still giving you a BS reply, well, by all means get a congressperson to make an inquiry of your behalf. The delay could be due to backlog, speed of adjudicator, lack of manpower, pending background checks etc.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

"Currently being adjudicated" means your papers are being processed to see whether your case will merit an approval (NOA2) or an RFE

Right now, you can only wait. Some March filers have not received their NOA2s yet. I know that you have already been told several times to be patient and sometimes it just sucks to hear the same thing over and over again but there could be several reasons why there is a delay in your case.

In the meantime, enjoy the days you have left with your family and friends. You will surely miss them all.

If you are working, get busy with work. Do anything to keep your mind off of the process.

Good luck and Godbless!

Be thankful you got email saying something. How would you feel if you filed in Nov 2016 and was stuck in Nebraska Service Center like I am and not hearing a word? Im beginning to think my file was lost so I have a appt at my local immigration office in the city where I live on Weds... Hope I get answers as my patience is running thin.

Damn that's sad. Best of luck in Wednesday and I hope you get the answer to your queries and get your papers processed right away since you have already been waiting for 8months.

Wish you all the best! God bless you!
