But don't I still have high chances of being denied? I know as soon as I say "boyfriend" they're gonna get suspicious... What could I do to help with that?

The truth will do so why not just tell them if asked that you are going to see some of America with a friend for a couple of months. You have to done well to have be granted those visas with the right intention. Simply use the visa as intended along with returning to your country to see where life takes you.

Because that would be a lie. She clearly stated that she wants to come live with her boyfriend for a few months. You are encouraging the OP to commit misrepresentation which violates the terms of this site.

I can almost guarantee the next question will be "Boyfriend?". :) They see this every day.

There's nothing wrong with visiting a boyfriend. Just be honest and complete with your responses. I wouldn't be overly worried about it. Good luck!

How/why did you get a J1 and a B2 at the exact same time? Seems a bit odd that they would put 2 different visas in your passport at the same time.

I don't really know why. Maybe because I was a minor and my parents petitioned for both visas.

I've heard that it's possible to hold a B1/B2 visa and a J1 visa at the same time.  The way someone described it to me once is that you'll only have a single “visa status” at any given time while inside the US and you'll have different responsibilities/perks depending on which visa you used to enter the US.  For example, a student studying during the school semester, and another for visiting friends/tourism outside of the regular school semester/after schooling is completed.

This is just what I've heard as explained to me in the past.

Different visas for different purposes not an issue.

Lescanoid,

My advice would be not to tell them that you're romantically involved with anyone in the States. Bring a list of tourist attractions you want to see, a cultural activity you want to do, or a even potential trip itinerary for your "tourist experience." If you talk about a romantic interest/boyfriend, they will have reason to suspect you'll overstay the visa or try to get married while you're there.

I think you need to consume the VJ ToS, my Bible, should be yours.

Terrible advice, you should stop giving it.

If she were to do this, it would be willful misrepresentation at the border.  Customs officials are extremely good at spotting lies.  Better she tells them the truth than to have a made-up story begin to unravel when they are questioning her, and then finds herself in more trouble than she bargained for.
