I filed to adjust my status from a K1 visa and received a biometrics appointment. On all prior forms I had my eye color as brown.

Anyways at the biometrics I go to get my picture taken and the lady says I forgot to tick eye color and I say brown, but ask her (I have light brown/hazelnut color) but she looks and says its more hazel so checks the hazel box.

I didn't think anything of it really at the time since it was a person at the biometrics place who confirmed it. Though with previous paperwork being brown eye colour it won't cause a issue in the future with i-751 removal of conditions or n400 citizenship???

I spoke to a lawyer who said the whole brown vs hazel issue is fine and its okay I changed it to make it more specific. For future, select one and use on all future documents.

Should I just continue and select hazel on all future forms and biometrics or brown as I did before.

My wife thinks I'm a nut and over thinks completely, she says my eyes are hazel and went to Target and the guy said they look hazel to him lol. I just basically dont want it to affect citizenship down the line.

Yeah I think you're starting to over-worry about this now....brown and hazel eyes aren't all *that* different when it comes down to it.

Remember, it was one lady's opinion on how she thinks your eye color looked *to her*.  The biometrics lady isn't even an immigration officer, if that makes you feel any bettter.  Sometimes hazel looks brown to people, and vice versa.

Don't stress yourself out about it.  Really, don't---in the huge realm of all the stresses you will face during your immigration process, how you listed your eye color on ONE form is extremely minor.

Now...if your hair is black and you listed it as red, then yeah...I'd say you may need to look in the mirror more often or consider being concerned.

Yeah your right though on the AOS packet I sent away I selected brown. It was just at the appointment it was hazel.

Going forward I'm unsure if I just select hazel or brown now?

I agree with your wife, minus the nuts part since I don't know you personally.

Regards about which eye color to select moving forward, select both or either one? My wife has gray/blue eyes, and she/I've selected both or either one in the past. Didn't come up as an issue.

Let me put it to you this way....what color do YOU identify your eyes as being?

What eye color have YOU always told people throughout your life, used on passport applications, drivers licence and the like, etc.

Go with that color.  To me, it sounds like all other documentation pertaining to your life you always listed your eye color as brown.  Seriously....ONE person who has little effect on your life, and absolutely no sway whatsoever on your immigration application, is getting into your head..  Don't let her.
