Special Counsel Mueller Focuses On Trump’s Son

Prosecutors investigating possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign are bearing down on the president’s son, attempting to figure out his intent when he attended a meeting in which he was promised dirt on Hillary Clinton as part of Russia’s support for Trump’s campaign. The question of intent could be crucial in determining if Donald Trump Jr. violated the law.

Federal prosecutors working for special counsel Robert Mueller are focusing keenly on the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., and are trying to determine his intent when he attended a controversial June 9, 2016, meeting with a Russian lawyer, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

Trump Jr. has acknowledged that he was looking for negative information about Hillary Clinton when he, as well as Jared Kushner and then-campaign manager Paul Manafort, met with the lawyer. But he claimed he did not receive any useful opposition research.

The source familiar with the investigation said that prosecutors have been trying to determine exactly what information was provided and are scrutinizing Trump Jr.’s statements about the meeting.

Requesting or accepting anything of value for a presidential campaign from a foreign national violates federal election law, legal experts told BuzzFeed News.

Trump Jr.'s attorney, Alan Futerfas, did not respond to calls or an email requesting comment.

The special counsel’s office declined to comment on the investigation, and grand jury proceedings are secret. White House communications director Hope Hicks referred calls to President Trump’s attorneys. White House lawyer Ty Cobb said, “I don’t know anything about that in the sense of what their motivations or interest are. I wouldn’t comment on it.” Kushner’s lawyer declined to speak on the record.

To be honest I expected better from Pence but again should I really be that surprised, about the incident last week.

Now it's a desperate act to go after anyone in Trumps family, or associated with Trump, now that they realize impeaching him is gonna be a tad harder than just throwing tantrums, attending cry-ins, being outraged, etc.

Isn't that the purpose of investigations? To make sure that in a country of laws, no one should stand above them?

So why after almost a year already are there not some kind of charges coming? We heard a couple weeks ago about some kind of grand jury coming, we still have yet to see that happen or if it did happen any kind of charges. I think it's just a load of BS right now. It's like the MSM keep trying to do some kind of "Outrage of the week" in order to divide us so that whomever can just come over here and conquer us. You do forget a majority of the Left Wing groups are funded in whole or in part by George Soros and his minions, in which he hasn't liked the USA since we beat the Nazis in WW2.

Of course, the press is feasting on it. Anything that happens in DC is news. However, they are not fabricating these investigations - they're just reporting on them.

Did I say they are fabricating those investigations? No, I did not say that at all. All I said is that they have a man/woman on the inside of that investigation feeding them something. So they are taking whatever the leaker says and running with it. We shall see what comes of this and my bet would be a big fat NOTHING!!!!!!

And I didn't mean to suggest you fabricated it. What I did mean was that regardless of who and how they are getting the information, the information exists. For all I know this may be another big fat dish of nothing, but I also think we should err on the side of caution.

The press or MSM is feasting on it because they are anything Anti-Trump even if it is made up BS. They will jump on it and make it out to be some faux outrage how bad Trump is. That is the ONLY reason that CNN has any kind of ratings at all.
