Does he not have his vaccination records from back home? If so he shouldn't have to get all the vaccinations, a doctor can transfer from that card to his I-693A.

As for tests, the requirement for I-693 is to get Chest X-ray for TB, a TB skin test, and blood tests for HIV and Syphalis. None of these are optional, and a negative skin test doesn't mean he can skip the X-ray, IIRC.

You should talk to a civil surgeon about this, they will know what needs to be done.

He has no records of his vaccines. The national healthcare in the UK is fabulous but they wont release his medical records..AT ALL. grrr. i knew those tests werent optional, just wasnt sure what was required for the TB. i plan on having a civil surgeon sign off so to speak on all the medical stuff but i'm getting as much of it done as possible at my health dept cuz it will be alot cheaper.

It is against the law for your fiance's NHS GP to not give him access to his medical records. He has the right to see ANYTHING that is in his records and request a copy.

His doctor is breaking the law by refusing to let him have copies of anything he asks for.

yeah....my mother in law inquired at my husbands docotor....we were going to write up a letter of consent and everything for the records to be release to her and then sent to us, or for her to be able to request the records sent to us. she said the doctor said no way. but. i have a feeling it was that my mother in law simply couldnt be bothered to help us out unfortunately, and i would have no one else to work as a go between. im not really bothered about getting the records anymore, itll be quicker to just get the vaccines done! but thanks for that article, its really informative.

yeah i unfortunatly dont have insurance....so anything i dont have to pay full proce for is great! LOL

Just to warn you that you might still have to get the chest X-ray, because if your husband had a BCG injection (ihe has one of those round scars on his left arm), that can often cause the TB skin test to come up positive.

well poop....he does have that! the merry go round just keeps going round huh? hahaha
