I was curious if it was okay to underline certain parts of the I-129F evidence  (for example: underlining my name on the plane ticket, maybe with color even to make it easier to see or underlining a translation on a foreign plane ticket, etc etc).  The reason I ask this is because I read on the Form Filing Tips that the use of highlighters were not recommended (since they make it harder to scan).  I am thinking underlining with blue pen may be an alternative.

Yeap, highlighters are to be avoided. Underlining should be OK or you can put a sticky note or have a caption at the bottom of the page saying what's what. I personally used the caption method and it didn't cause us any problems. Only thing is that it could be tedious to enter one for every page :jest:  Sticky notes is a common method.

Take copies of the plane tickets etc, don't mess with the originals. You can underline the copies and you will also have more space left on the paper where you can add a little explanation if you want to. That's what I did.

Never send the original tickets, or anything else original for that matter (apart from the i-129f form itself). They might want to take a look at the originals at the interview. Also, if your package gets lost and you have to make a new package you still have all originals left and can just make new copies to send.
