So my question is to you, do you think your relationship was taken more serious because you married? The only reason why I'm doing fiance visa is so my kids can be at the wedding. There dad(who doesn't care about my business) does not want them out of the country. Also I hv a child with severe food allergy can't even imagine being able to control what is in the foods

I don't know about being taken more serious but yes I do think it makes a difference. As long as the evidence is there should be no prob. Just from reading on this site, I think K1s are scrutinized more, that's why it's important to frontload heavily on the K1.

As far as Bostonbruce, don't know what all they submitted beforehand. Many people say the consular officer looks at the package and pretty much makes a decision before the interview. The interview is to confirm or deny what they already think. Facetime (face to face visits) is extremely important. So if the last time you saw your fiancé was almost a year ago, yes that might raise an eyebrow.

Although, you said you were doing it so your kids could be there, I PERSONALLY think the K1 is bust. It's more expensive and you have to apply and wait for work authorization. So many people come over on fiancé visa, then they come on here asking for advice on how to expedite bc they're in a financial bind or spouse needs to work. Fiancé visa is faster to get over but by the time the processing is completed, one could've done the spouse visa and spouse would be over and eligible to work immediately in almost the same amount of time.

Oan, what evidence did you submit?

Also, I would be leery of submitting western union receipts on a K1. Per posts I've read on this site, it's frowned upon on a K1 vs spouse. Although if they ask for, send what they request.
