Wife's visa was issued, but still waiting for 2go to make delivery.   We received an email on 8/15/17 stating that the courier had taken the visa and packet from the embassy!!

Just curious....is there anything special that I need to know before I book her tickets?  Anything special that needs to be done through the airlines?

Thanks a million for all of the support from the forum!!

I think you will need the passport number to book. And once you have it you are gokd to go. Make sure she does not open the sealed packet or anyone till she meets with immigration at a us airport.  All the best to you two!

I see your timeline and im puzzled as to why the 407 days to issue?

Very important to make sure you have the CFO Seminar sticker in the Philippine passport.  Your wife will not be allowed to travel to the U.S. without proof of attending the seminar. You can purchase the flight but Philippine authorities will not allow her to travel without proof of attending the seminar.  What is a real pain in the butt is having to register for the seminar online and trying to find an available date.  Last year you had to sign up at least four months in advance for this mandatory class.  This caused me to cancel flight arrangements and lose money over a sticker.

Don't make flight arrangements until you have your visa in your hands. Too many people have had delays and had to reschedule their flight costing lots of money.

Here is the warning that USEM states: Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of properties, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you.

Nope, not to book the flight.  For confirmation the passport number will be asked for, but that can be done at check-in  ;)

... and of course... CFO sticker.
