Trump has not specifically condemned this violent act by Antifa. Why is he clearly supporting them. Why do all Hillary voters support this

Maybe he thinks his previous tweet blaming everyone still covers this. IDK, hard to tell what Trump is thinking. I'm not sure he knows himself most of the time.

The act is horrific though and I condemn it unreservedly. You can not proclaim to oppose facism while at the same time act like them. As MLK said, evil can not be driven out by evil, and if the story is true it will only serve to escalate the episodes.

It's funny before I posted this there were people here claiming antifa is not a violent hate group. By the way why hasn't every Democrat politician come out and specifically condemned this act by a leftist group. They should be held to the same standard Trump and other republicans are held to.

The problem I have is the idea that one must apologize for the acts of others especially people I have no association to. I'm not sorry for anything because I did nothing.

The left can cry and demand this and that, kicking and screaming as always, the right and independents+moderates know this is stupidity but demand the same thing of the left. Little do they understand that doing this they send a message that these tantrums are okay. It's the same message with outrage and boycotting companies expecting them to be an arm of people's personal political goals. All the wrong messages being sent and that is partially why the left have been so eager to up the ante, getting their way far too many times when they should be told to pound sand.

Why just Democrats? Shouldn't Democrat's and Republicans both speak out?  Does there need to be an attempt to convert every act of violence into political capital? The president is held to a higher standard because he is the president. Not because he is Democrat or Republican. The problem is we constantly hear congress members speak up on these things before the president does, and when the president does speak on issues like this, he often sounds like he's on the A train to nowhere.

When someone says 'he's not my president', the response most often heard back is 'he is everyone's president'. At some point, he has to start acting like it.

everybody knows how the lines are drawn, Pink hats, Antifa, Hillary Clinton, the Democrats, the leakers, the raping immigrants,  the leftists, Venezuela, George Soros, the Democrats, the deep state, elitists and the media on the side of darkness and the Glorious MAGA movement restoring virtue  and righteousness and the hope of a new millennium where the poor, women and people of color assume their natural role in society lead by Donald J. Trump.  which side are you on ?

Maybe that's because Congress is on vacation and Trump isn't -- he's still working.

And besides, Trump did "speak up" on this issue, the left whined about it, Trump spoke up again, the left whined even more..

Amusing pattern if I say so myself.

Trump is always on vacation.  Even when his body isn't, his brain still is. Even so, they all have contact with the outside world, and they all managed to condemn the violence in Charlotte without sounding as clueless as Trump did.

We'll see in this particular instance how they react if and when the story breaks. Not saying it's true or not true, but most politicians, fortunately don't respond to stories until the have circulated beyond sites like infowars, 4chan, and bigleagpolitics.com and I'm OK with that given recent history.

I agree. Just pointing out that democrats should be held to the same standard they hold others to.

As was pointed out above no one should be obligated to apologize for any act carried out by anyone they have no association with. Simple as that. This is nothing more than a bunch of butt hurt snowflakes looking for something to whine about.
