K1 still has not been issued from Montreal. Advice needed!

Hello all,

First, we would like to thank everyone for all the good information we have read on here.  We have never posted on here as we have not needed to until this last step.  This site has truly been a blessing through this process.  My Fiancé had her K1 interview last Wednesday, August 9.  We have been checking the status on Ceac everyday.  It did not change until this last Monday, August 14, to "Administrative Processing."  As we understood from some previous posts, this meant it was being printed and prepared to be shipped.  The status hasn't changed to "Issued" yet and that is where we stand.  We communicated with another user that we met at the interview and their status changed the day after the interview and they have already received their Visa.  The Officer told my Fiancé that our case was "very easy" and she was approved.  So, needless to say, we are frustrated and stressed. I drove up from California last week to attend the interview with her and then make the big move back down this week.  We anticipated having the Visa by the end of this week based on all the other timelines and info we have read.  We are in limbo now and if we don't receive it by this Friday, I will have to fly home for work and court (I'm in LE) and then fly back the next weekend to make the big move.  Any help or advice would be much appreciated.  Again, thank you all for the great information and time and effort put into your timelines and this website.

Pretty normal - assuming you'd get it in a week was perhaps overly hopeful in hindsight. Nothing sounds off though.

Thanks for the posts, but we are squared away now and will be going "home" on Tuesday together.

Oh good - glad you're one of the ones 'bringing the average down'!
