He won't be allowed to leave the Tunisian aeroport with more than the Tunisian government will allow him to take. Even with euros.

Yeap, I understood that :) But he/she was asking if he could carry Euros into the US besides USD. Just letting him/her know that any foreign currencies can be brought into the US. But of course the amount is another issue.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Is your US petitioner visiting you? If yes, can withdraw some to ask him to bring back to the US.

They will not a problem when deposit that money in a US account,,they will not ask from where dose it come ??? ( I mean, in case I take money with me to USA and deposit it in my fiancée's account) ??

Banks in the U.S will not ask where the money comes from when you make a deposit, but if you deposit $10,000 or more, the bank will report the amount to the federal government.

Just be aware that not all banks will be able to exchange the currency you bring into the country.  Most small banks and many of the large banks that are not located in major cities are not able to make the exchange when you deposit your funds.  Ask your fiance to check with the bank where you will be depositing the funds to see if they are able to make the exchange, and if they aren't what they would recommend.  You may have to convert your cash at a bank in a large city and then deposit the dollars in your local bank.

Also remember conversion of cash involves a fee, converting from dinars to euros to dollars involves double fees. Have you considered an internstoonal bank with a presence in Tunisia and the US? Might make life simplet

I think the Tunisian government won't allow me to take as much as I want and they put a restriction on the amount of money I am allowed to take.

So it's simple then.  Ask the Tunisian government how much you are allowed to leave the country with.  We don't know your countries rules.  But you must declare the money you are bringing to the US is over 10,000 dollars.  That's US law.

if you deposit more than 10k and the bank reports it to the federal government - will there be any issues for me and my fiance?
