As much as you want, unless your country has restriction on this. When entering the USA, make sure to declare anything over $10k.  For large amounts, wire transfer might be safer.

I think the Tunisian government won't allow me to take as much as I want and they put a restriction on the amount of money I am allowed to take.

Do a transfer instead then. Safer too.

I just asked they told me I cannot transfer money from Tunisia unless to a Tunisian student studying abroad and it can't be more than 6000 Tunisian dinars.

Holy sheet!!! Are they for real? :( Then carry the maximum that you can and withdraw the rest from the US. Doesn't sound like you have much choice.

What about places like Western Union and Moneygram??

As stated above, carry as much as you wish, but make sure you declare any amount more than $10,000.00 USD.  Also expect the officers to count it.  At least, that is what the officers did when my wife entered the US in June.

Is it allowed to get money in a currency  other then USD when entering USA ?  In case I take money in EURO and change them there

Any currency is fine :) But must declare anything equivalent to more than US$10000.
