They are not called 'black colleges', they are called 'historically black colleges'.  We are getting some great lessons on the use (and misuse) of context today. The reason they exist is because prior to the civil rights movement, almost all other higher education institutions were indeed 'white colleges'.

In alternate-fact reality that is racist. It's no different than during the time of Jim Crow when blacks took the entire back of the bus for themselves, and had special drinking fountains and restrooms. It's all black racism.

I can see why you think that way and I don't blame you. Truth be told in many ways I do agree with the left on a number of these issues, I just see no reason to be conciliatory or agreeable because, 1. agreeing with them sends a message that their tantrums are okay, and 2. its way too entertaining seeing them so irrationally upset.

I understand that you enjoy seeing how upset they get, and I won't get into why I disagree with that, you do you. But I do have to say, it doesn't always seem irrational.  Especially when dealing with leaders that are irrational and vindictive, like Kim Jong-Un. When dealing with female reproductive rights. When dealing with the possibility of millions losing healthcare. When dealing with people wearing swastikas and chanting hate. When hiring poorly trained officers, or spending a lot of resources on a wall, just to name a few. These are valid reasons to be upset.

It seems to be quite common nowadays, since more than ever (or from what I've seen anyway) left. vs. right are fighting trying to figure out who is correct. But this could affect us all.

I don't blindly support any side, because I know facts are important and media is going to be biased one way or another.

We are not children. Even if you believe some behave that way. Agreeing with us from time to time is not validating a tantrum, if you genuinely feel that some of our concerns are valid, you are more than welcome to join. Blindly disagreeing because you find enjoyment in people's anger, well, that is your prerogative.

You and I would likely agree significantly on healthcare, womens reproductive rights, many of Trump's policies, etc. I could PM that to you if you like, but here, while I am 100% honest in my opinions, I also only represent one of those sides as response to the irrationality of one side to people they disagree with, for reasons already explained. A wise man tailors his communication to the audience he's speaking to. It's a euphemism for the real world -- you either allow others to drag you down to their level (to get in a fight of complete irrationality and tantrums to vent frustrations) or you walk on them instead.

A lot of people on here seem to struggle with English, spellings can be atrocious. I try and correct but it is an uphill battle.

So do the white colleges get to keep their white people and change the name/premise to "white college" as long as they use "historically" in front of it? Hl9rl26.gif

And in other bizzaro world PC brain mush culture, adding a word to the title of something totally changes everything 🤣

The lefts line of thinking is only skin deep. Pretty funny since they act like the arbiters of racism and bigotry and often cite MLK. Pretty messed up to make a guy like that a pawn for political gain.

Can tell you with the utmost confidence if blacks (and even many whites) listened to MLK, as in, adopted much of the wisdom he espoused about judging peers by quality of character, none of the stupid stuff related to Michael Brown, Trayvon, etc. would have happened. A lot of problems would be solved, but it benefits the left to keep blacks where they are and in a rather subservient mode to leftist political objectives. A lot of unambiguous racism there.

Of course, they won't reject your application, they don't want a lawsuit.  But they are called black colleges for a reason, and I'd say that's exclusionary.  I don't see any schools referred to as white colleges.  And that's my point.  Why are black colleges allowed to exist?   We can safely assume that if any school were to call itself a white college, Jesse and Al would be marching up and down screaming racism.

Is there anything stopping a white person from attending an historically black college? I say historically because black colleges came about as a result of racial segregation. Racial segregation that blacks had no hand in enforcing or even creating in the first place.

And every white did?

Bit racist.
