Hi Vj friends!

I became a US citizen on May 2017 and now planning to bring my mom here in the US. My husband and I is expecting a child and would love to have my mom here to help us with the kids.

My question is, with I-864 affidavit of support, I do not make enough money for the household of 6, do we need to file a different form along with I-864 for my husband as my co-sponsor?

I'm sure I will be asking a lot of questions later. Any help and ideas with the process will be great :)

Thank you in advance

Congrats on you new citizenship!!!

You already filed the petition and are now at the NVC stage of the process?  Or just getting prepared?  ;)

Here is a site that can guide you.  It is the Department of State.

The DOS website states you both complete the I-864.  Here is the section on support documents (3rd section from the bottom of the chart).

Thanks Hank! Yes, I'm due on January. We have been married for 5 years and we are excited to welcome our new addition. I hope all is well! You've been such a great help to everyone here.
