Hey guys,

I received notice that my I-129F application has arrived at the Moscow embassy. I called NVC and they gave me the case number, beneficiary number and invoice id - so it looks like I can pay for the interview and schedule it (which I will do tomorrow). However I checked my case status and it shows in Administrative Processing since the 7th of August.

Is this normal?

Did the beneficiary in the foreign country received a mail with Interview Instructions?. "AP" is normal.

I don't think she received anything yet. I paid for the interview, just waiting for the receipt number to show in the Russian bank system and I'll schedule the interview. So it stays in AP status while I'm waiting?

The fees that you paid is valid for one year and after you make an interview appointment you can re-schedule the appointment 3 or times with one fee receipt. Since she didnt receive any mail from Moscow Embassy she will have to wait for it because if she will be needing that letter as evidence to show that she needs medicals and a police certificate (this depends upon country to country) but for medicals you will need the letter from embassy or interview schedule printout.

I want to share something from my experience so that it wont happen with you. When my package reach New Delhi Embassy on November 10 2016.the next they had to do is send a mail to my address which they did but I didnt receive. I waited and around 3rd week of December (more than a month) I contacted the Embassy and they said they already sent it on December 2 2016 and you should have got it by December 10th. I was shocked man because I will have to do the medicals, get police certificate from India and UK(i lived there for 4 years) and Dubai (I lived there for 10 months) so when i contacted the embassy they e-mailed me the same instructions and then i had to start working on things. So since you said YOU received the mail that NVC sent package to Moscow Embassy so calculate the days and if she doesn't get mail in 2 weeks then ask her to contact the embassy and get details by e-mail. By the way do you use ustraveldocs to schedule your interview ?

The Moscow embassy just received her application last week so I would guess the paperwork is in the mail to her. She already has her police certificate and I will be going with her to the medical exam and interview.

Yes I used ustraveldocs to schedule the interview. I had applied for a B2 for her a couple months ago (the denied it due to the pending K1) and my info was still in the system which made it pretty simple.
