As we approach the 90-day expiration date of my wife's 2-year green card, I have the complete package ready to forward this week (I will forward it one day before we enter their 90-day window).

First question:
What's the best method to forward the package to the California Service Center?
Regular US Mail? Certified - with receipt or not?
UPS Priority - with tracking?
Fed-Ex - with tracking?

Second question:
I've just read that "response times" are now unusually long. With my wife's 2-year card expiring the middle of November, what will she use as "documentation" that she's registered, has a right to work (etc) if they haven't removed her conditions before her current 2-year card expires?

Thanks!

Once USCIS accepts the application, they will send Notice of action known as i-797 stating on the letter her status was extended for another year while the i-751 is being processed.

We also live in Missouri and we sent my package through USPS Priority Mail on July 24th. Also, we were given a tracking number. My package was delivered at California Service Center 2 days later, on July 26th. I received my Notice of Action hardcopy on August 1st (it was dated July 26th). Best of luck to you and your wife!
