Hi guys!

We are an April filer & waiting for the NOA2..im new here & i hope to meet new friends!😊

Can you help me guys..i'm confused. I hope somebody can help me answer this question because i live too far from Manila & i want to save some money comin back & forth wth the process. If i finish  my interview at the embassy, would they give immediately the result or i have to wait 2 weeks for it?

I think someone who is successfully done with the process can answer my question.

Thank you all for having the time to read this & i would really appreciate your answers!

Good luck guys!😊😊

Welcome to the forum GIGI

Congrats on starting the process.

After the interview they may or may not tell you if you are approved. Just depends on the Consular Officer.

One way to know is to ASK the at the end.

The other good indicator is if they keep your passport.

If they you have your interview and go home with your passport that same day then that is a very bad sign.

Please tell your petitioner not to buy you any plane ticket to USA until AFTER VISA IS IN YOUR HAND OR V.O.H.

There are no promises in this process.

If they keep your passport and tell you you are approved you can expect your passport to be ready to pick up at a location from the list they will give you within 7-14 days on average.

Good luck.

Where in the Philippines are you from?

My fiancee is on Mindanao.

Welcome.  I'm a June filer and there is a lot of great information here.  Do not hesitate to ask questions even if they seem obvious.  There are a lot of lurkers here who will have the same question so you can help many of us here by asking.

You can schedule your medical 3 to 4 days prior to you interview so you will just have to make one trip.  Medical usually takes 2 days if all goes well.  After the interview you can go home as the visa and passport will be delivered to you (if you dont try to pick it up from 2GO) in Mindanao.

As LabOz says, if they keep your passport you can be confident that you are approved.  I believe most COs will let you know as soon as the interview is complete.

Good luck and welcome to the forum!

I just noticed your estimated NOA2 date was yesterday!!!!  Any word yet?  That must be exciting and stressful.  We still have a few months to go!!!

BTW, my fiancee is from Pateros Metro Manila...
