just curious, if couple both apply for N400 ,

1)will they receive the interview letter at the same time ? will the interview date and place assigned on both letters  be the same ?

2) during the interview day, will the couple  be interviewed together by the same officer ? or separately but one after another ?

 my understanding is, if they are interviewed together at the same time by the same officer, that will save the office some time and have an extra  break or leave earlier on that day probably...LOL

Not necessarily.  Some couples do get the letter on the same date, some don't.

Not necessarily the same interview date, however they are normally at least close together in date since you filed around the same time roughly (I assume).

The place assigned would be the same since your field office is the same.

Each of you will be interviewed separately.  It may be by the same officer, or by two different officers.  I've heard both scenarios happening to others here.  But you will not be together in the same interview room, no.
