I think Trump could tell me the sky was blue and I'd probably still feel the urge to look out the window to check.

 

That's about as much as I trust his word on anything.  Actually, I think the next time he gives a speech on anything, there should be an automated crawler at the bottom of the TV screen along the lines of:

 

"The opinions expressed by the President do not necessarily reflect those of his aides, supporters, staff, house representatives, senate, various State and/or city officials, or the country as a whole.   It may not even reflect the President's own true opinion, itself.  Please refrain from taking what the President is actually saying as factual evidence of his thoughts/beliefs/opinions/views or otherwise as any true statements.  Someone else will be along shortly to explain in their own words what the President must have actually meant."
