I would like to get some feedback of people's experience that had a dependent child listed on their I751,,, regarding receipt of NOA

How long after the petitioner's NOA did the Dependent NOA arrive?

I have read a lot of the posts about it not arriving...

However I would like to know what is the normal time...  Has anyone received it at the same time as the petitioner's NOA

Trying to gauge how long to wait till I need to take action...

Best regards....

Hi, we are still waiting for my son's NOA it hasn't arrived together with mine and most likely never even  been  sent to us. So right after my NOA came, I called them, spoke to tier 2 officer and he submitted a service request on my behalf. So according to what he said we should get it no later than Aug. 23 ( mine arrived Aug. 8). But what I would suggest to not wait for it if it's not come together with yours in the mailbox. Just go ahead and call them, there is no reason to wait, it won't arrive unless you request it.

Hope it helps. Also you can find my post abt it, just asked same question few pages back.

I finally talked to someone at USCIS and they told me that there was a receipt number for the daughter...  However they told me that I need to make an appointment at the local office and get a stamp in her passport.  I asked if they could just send a NOA for her.  He said they could not. I explained that not all countries accept a stamp in the passport...  He said that the US would allow her to leave and return with that stamp.  I replied that was not the concern, it was if the airline would let her on the plane. His reply was that the majority of countries accept the stamp. I said I wasn't comfortable with that....  He said you have the receipt number, make an appointment at your local office and then he hung up.  My local office is an hour and half away.  When I try to make an appointment it says there are no available appointments available try again tomorrow. The foot note says they only show the appointments for 14 days in advance.  Of course there is no phone number just for NSC.  By the way we got our bio-metrics appointment for both my wife and her daughter....  seems ridiculous that they recognize her but can't send an original NOA letter.  Any one have any suggestions....  has anyone been successful in getting a NOA that didn't come in the beginning???

This isn't something you should be worried about. On the contrary the stamp is more "recognized" than the extension letter letter. The very few people who have had slight issues while boarding didn't experience set back because of stamps but with extension letters on the contrary. The stamp isn't some non legit stuff it's a solid evidence of an individual's lawful permanent resident status and now even has a department of homeland security seal on it. Book an infopass appointment and get one for your daughter.

Hi, no luck for us either. Been waiting after submitted a service request for abt two weeks, after that, received a letter from local office with  the suggestion to make an infopass apt and  get a stamp for my son. Seems if they have never sent it at the first time, they will never do it again, so to get a stamp is the only way to extend the GC.

I had troubles to schedule an appt for infopass too, took me abt 1.5 week to find the date. So we are going there on September.

Try early morning around 7 a.m, or even earlier, should work.

At least the good thing  for you guys is that they got their bio appts, we are still waiting for them...

Good luck.

Just an update.....   On the NOA for Bio-metrics there was no previous receipt number indicating that they never issued a NOA. We got an appointment with our USCIS office.  Was in and out in 15 minutes. They put a stamp in her passport but they also returned the green card which is contrary to all the forum posts.  A couple of days letter I got a reply to a web site inquiry I put in.  They sent a letter listing her as Beneficiary on my wife's application...  Strange thing was that it was not on a NOA.  It was just a typed form that could have been written by anyone.  Hopefully with the stamp and this letter, we will be covered.
