Ok so next week me and my attorney will be submitting Civil and finacial documents to the NVC. Thats all we have left to do for them.

How much longer after that (about) till they complete my case?

how much longer does it take before they send it to Budapest U.S Embassy?

When can i bee looking at a interview?

Im so frustrated already and cant wait for this whole thing to be over. I waited almost 1 year for my i-130 to be approved then im in the NVC process for 3 months now.

We submitted Ds260 and all that. They asked for my civil documents now and they are down. Can someone give me approximate times? Is there anything i can do to move forward while they process my documents?

It's currently taking around 11 weeks for NVC to complete the case after receipt of the civil documents.

Interviews usually happen around 6 weeks after case complete status but it all depends on how busy the embassy is. Some embassies have wait lists of several months (Abu Dhabi, for example) but some embassies have very quick turnaround times. Have a look at recent approvals from your embassy and see how long after case complete they had their interview dates.

It's almost over. The worst part is definitely over.

Can I ask why you have been at the NVC for 3 months already and only just sent your documents? I know the process is slow and frustrating but I would urge everyone to use the wait for the I-130 to be approved to get ready for the NVC so that it goes as quickly as possible. I had all my documents ready to go except one tax transcript that was lost in the mail by the time my case reached the NVC. You have to be pro-active in this.

Timeline in brief:

Plan on 9-11 weeks for case to be completed at NVC.

Doesnt the NVC process take 11 week's in total, if you do everything right away? Thats what i thought. We submitted ds260 paid all fee's etc and they responded withing 30 days and now they requested for cival and finacial documents. Shouldnt that take another 30 days? Which would equally 11 weeks?

How can i take a look at recent approvals at the embassy? Im at Budapest US embassy in hungary.

The reason why i been at the NVC for 3 months now is because thats how my attorney is doing it. I dont know why but thats just what he said. He paid the fee's and everything, then we wait a few weeks so it showed "paid" he then filled out ds-260 and visa application, then we wait 30 days for them to send civial documents. And now im gather all that to send to him.

Why so long?

I submitted everything. And they sent me the "cover sheet" of documents.

Once I submit my civil and finacial documents will it still take that long?

It takes 11 weeks from the day NVC receives your civil and financial documents though people are saying that it has been taking less than that recently.  You definitely do not have to wait 30 days to submit the documents I don't know why your attorney said that.

Unfortunately there is no way to move ahead in the process quicker unless you have a life threatening emergency you can request an expedite. Besides that you will have to patiently wait like everyone else. The good thing is that recently people have had their cases approved in less than 11 weeks.

NVC after receiving documents = 2.5 to 3 months.

Then to receive an interview = 1-2 months.

So plan 4-5 months after they received your documents that you're going to submit next week.

Why so long? Because there are a lot of people ahead of you. You have to be patient and wait.

You definitely won't be here for Christmas. I'd plan for March the soonest date.

If there is no checklist then its possible to be back by then?

The chances of you making it here by Christmas are highly unlikely though not impossible. If you submit your documents next week and if NVC does take up to 11 weeks to review your 11 weeks will be completed mid November. And then hopefully it doesn't take too long for your embassy to schedule your appointment.
