Just submit the affidavit of support with your AOS package..

I dont remember submitting any letters of employment for my wife. We just included her tax returns.

What do you mean how should you package it?

Quick question guys. The affidavit of support is eight pages. When presenting it at the interview how should it be packaged? Should I staple them together or put them in a little folder?

I dont recommend stapling the papers, I recommend that you use paper clips. Buy a big folder with pockets or compartments so that you can organize all your forms and documents and also i recommend you to use stick notes to the folder sections, that way you will know which document is in which pocket and that way it will be easy for you to give it to give it to Visa officer. That's what i did. People usually put everything in their bag and for example the VO asks for a certain document, people dig into their bag searching for that one particular paper among 50 other papers

So i recommend you to use paper clip to bundle the 8 papers and keep it in folder pocket in your bag and when they ask you for it you can just give the 8 paged clipped bundle.

In first pocket I kept my passports (old and new) with visa appointment letter and pocket 2- affidavit of support and 2 US passport sized photographs in a small envelope, pocket 3, Police Certificate from India and Police certificate from UK (i lived there for 4 years and as per their guildlines the applicant should submit police certificate from any country you lived more than 6 months from the age of 16) 4- wedding invitations, printouts of chat logs, e-mail, screenshots of skype and more photographs pocket 5 etc etc etc and labelled every section with stick notes...

Also, for hiss letter of employment, bank statements, should i just have them as single pages? How should i package them?

When attending the K-1 interview, you'll either be asked to hand in the I-134 + it's supporting documents at the pre-processing counter or your interview window. Some embassies don't even ask for it.

Use a binder clip to keep the 8-page I-134 along with the tax transcripts, employer letter, bank letter etc together. That's good enough to be presented to the CO. A folder is not necessary :)

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Hi Cantofla,

thank you so much for responding. I'm talking about the K1 consular interview. I'm not yet at the AOS stage, but will be sure to do what you recommended when I get to that stage. Congrats on the progress of your case and all the best with your Wife :-)

I actually went out and bought something almost exactly like this, just a little different in terms of colour :-) and i organised my files in a very similar to you! passport, DS160 and pictures in first packet, second has affidavit etc lol!

By the way, I have also prepared some recent chats and pictures from recent visits to show proof on ongoing relationship, were you asked to present those at the interview?

Were you asked to show your wedding invitation? because as it is now, My fiance and I don't have that. We just plan to have a very small court house wedding with a witness, then have a destination wedding here in Jamaica (where we're both from) on our one year anniversary. This  is because a lot of our friends and families won't be able to visit the US for our wedding but we want to share our special moment with them. And the one year would also give us more time to plan a lovely ceremony.

I did prepare all those chat logs and screenshots, wedding invitations but the VO did not ask for them. We had a co-sponsor (my wife's nephew) and VO asked a question about him and then i showed him a screenshot photograph of myself, my wife and him videochatting on skype. Apart from that nothing was asked. I was in Dubai and UK and he asked me if i bought police certificate from both the countries. I told him i have police certificate from UK as i lived there for 4 years but don't have police certificate from Dubai,UAE, as i was there only for 11 months. He took a few seconds and typed something in his system and looked at a chart pinned on the right side on the wall. I was kinda scared. He then said we won't be needing a police certificate from Dubai as it didnt go beyond 12 months and then the golden words "Your visa is approved". But when i came home and checked the system, it went back to  "Administrative Processing"(AP) ...i was scared again but then i remembered reading somewhere that they will authenticate the police certificate from uk and once its cross verified then visa will be issued...Status for next 7 working days was like this. AP>Ready>AP>Issued

You are welcome :) Last year when me and my wife started the K-1 procedure, we had a lot of questions and good people from Visa Journey has helped me a lottt and so I understand what you are going through now and its really a pleasure to help people with questions. I had questions regarding Medicals before i submitted my Adjustment of Status and once again family members of Visa Journey has helped me. There are a lot of people on here who must have started with a K-1 visa and got their citizenship but still come here to help other people. I really appreciate everyone on this website. Anyways, alll the very best for the interview and do let us all know about the result :)
