@silviafini Try doing a Congressional inquiry. They'll assign a person to your case whom will reach out to USCIS. If it's outside of normal processing time, this person will make sure to get your case back on track.

No because since February we called uscis submitted inquiries and they told us to wait for 60 days. April they told us to wait 60 more days. I'm hopeless and nice to see everyone's files now are at NVC I don't know what will happen to my case. I haven't met my husband in almost 10 months and he's planning just to move here.

Contact your congressman. Mine took 11months to get our approval. In the 9th month,we had to contact my husband's congressman and of course it really helped.

You can choose yourself as the agent. Correspondence is all through email anyway. No problems with that. As for DS-260 it makes sense for you, the beneficiary, to fill that out because it's all your information. Fingers crossed for your case number too!

I am doing my medical tomorrow :)

That's way way way too late. Ask your congressman to help.

Do they give you a date for medical or you can do at your own convenience. How soon or late before the interview you can do your medicals ?

I believe this is country dependent, as I have read some people doing their medical even before the interview letter arrives. I would advise doing it as close to the interview as possible because your visa will expire 6 months from the date of the medical exam, so doing it too far in advance just reduces the validity of your visa. I was advised by the appointed clinic to do it 2 weeks before the interview. You might want to call and check with the clinic? After I got my interview letter, I had to call them to schedule the appointment. I know some countries apparently allow walk-ins.

We're having some trouble with our police clearance. We started the process in March as soon as we got our NOA2. He had his appointment at the regional passport office, and there they require a police verification of your address. His passport has his parents address, but he had another ID with his current address. The police officer came to his house, he showed him his ID, the rental agreement, utility bills, and even wanted him to get 2 neighbors to witness that he lives there. There was only one neighbor around he could find to ask. The police officer was very rude to him, rushed him and we suspect he might've even wanted a bribe. His verification was denied. He went back to the passport office to tell them what happened and see what he can do to fix it and they scheduled him an interview in a month to go and tell them what happened....this is so ridiculous and its going to set us back a month or more. I dont know what further proof he couldve given them. Is there anything we can do to either speed up the PCC process or to ask to wait and bring it to the interview? Im so stressed out about this.

Police verification requires 2 neighbours as witnesses.Because there is a column in the form( which the officer has to fill) asking address of 2 witnesses. In my case the officer just asked the address of 2 neighbours. Did he just move there? Why can't he find a neighbour?

No he's lived there a year now, but I think the people that live closest to him weren't home or something so he was looking for someone else to witness and the guy was rushing him.
