In case you guys aren't lurking about on the April NVC thread yet, I just got my AOS and IV payments show up as paid so I can finally do my DS-260. My AOS and IV package arrived at NVC yesterday :D They were quoting 10 days to process payment but it took just about 5-6 working days for me, phew.

I got my case number last Monday, welcome letter by email the next day, and I was able to do my DS-261 and pay AOS on the same day of the welcome letter. Called them to review DS-261 on the phone and I was able to pay IV fee 2 days after AOS fee.

To get case number, we called every week, then approaching the 5-week mark we called every day. After receiving case number, it was only 1 call to review the DS-261 and thereafter, I didn't have to call!

Just completed my DS-260 and sent it off. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but that's probably because I didn't have to fill in some sections, I believe. The only tedious part was pulling out the dates of my last 5 trips to the US. It took me just over an hour.
