Tax transcripts from IRS are immediate if requested online. If you are submitting the transcripts, you don't need the W2s. Tax transcripts show a history of income. What NVC needs to see also will be proof of current income, in which case, the following would help:

Employment letter

Pay stubs (collect from the last few months)

In addition to what you have listed above, I also made a copy of my husband's (the petitioner) passport to show his US citizenship. Petitioner's birth certificate is ok too, but make sure it is the long form. If unsure, just use passport photocopy. Far easier than to risk a checklist :)

For the beneficiary (you), you will need a copy of the biographic page of your passport as well.

If you haven't already, maybe start filling in the i864. If you are the only one your wife is sponsoring, then you can use it i864EZ. There is a new version, make sure you are using it because the old one is only valid till 16 May or something.

Good luck!

how did u find out its Pivot Case???

It depends on the country you are from and what Embassy will be reviewing your case. Since I am from Ukraine and we only have one US embassy there, I know my case will go through the electronic processing aka pivot case. You can look up online the countries that have electronic submission of docs implemented already, and you will find out if your case will be regular or pivot case

how long is NVC process. I am little confused here.

week to 10 days to receive case at NVC.

5 to 8 or 11 weeks to all process including paying fees and sending documents. ( or just getting case number)about

4 to 5 weeks for interview schedule and getting medical done.

total about 17weeks i.e  4.25 month to 5 max.

does above  look ok ?

About a week for the case to reach NVC.

Currently about 5 weeks to get a case # for regular cases, or 8 weeks for pivot cases.

Then the welcome letter could take a week to come.

After that, you submit DS261 (if you are a regular case) NVC cites up to 3 weeks for AOS fee and IV payment options to open up. It should work within 1 week though.

Depending on how fast the payment clears (currently, someone is saying there could be a problem on NVC's system that's holding up the payment process), you will be able to submit your DS260 and send your packages to NVC. NVC cited time to review is 11 weeks, but many people are reporting 5 weeks.

Then how fast interview is scheduled depends on the consulate. I would allow 6 to 8 weeks there.

So, all in, 20 weeks if everything is fast.

i864ez is the PDF form that you fill out. So it doesn't matter that you don't have a case number yet. I personally think it's better to fill out whatever you can when you are relaxed so that you have time to review, review and review!
