You can hang out at NVC April filers thread and see what's going on, to prepare yourself for NVC. Or you can always hang out here since we will be around till all August filers have moved on to NVC :D For me, while I was waiting for NOA2, I was spending a lot of time in the NVC threads as well as the tax forum. It's very important to know exactly what's going to happen going forward in order not to cause delays :)

Yea..I've been switching between here and that forum and to my September filers too.

Looks like mine's gonna take about 5-6wks before being received

All we have is each other to support one another thru this. It would be heartbreaking to be left alone in a thread while everyone else is moving on 💔

not good at surfing with website... how can I follow u guys at NVC stage..

First, read this religiously: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Next, the April NVC filer thread is at:

Depending on how fast NVC works you may or may not be under April filing. My guess is you might be looking at May, but you can always start reading the April thread to get an idea of the speed that things are progressing, common checklists etc.

Has your USCIS status updated to 'Sent to Department of State'? If so, it shouldn't take them more than a week to receive. You have to call NVC to know they have received it. What will take some time is the NVC case number. Currently at around 5 weeks for regular cases or 8 to 9 weeks for pivot cases. Needs plenty of calling to get the case number.

how long is NVC process. I am little confused here.

week to 10 days to receive case at NVC.

5 to 8 or 11 weeks to all process including paying fees and sending documents. ( or just getting case number)about

4 to 5 weeks for interview schedule and getting medical done.

total about 17weeks i.e  4.25 month to 5 max.

does above  look ok ?

Yes, it has. I tried calling at around 2am here earlier and they said they don't have it yet. I'll try again tomorrow since it'll be exactly 1 week since the change of status.

@Jhonny I received my IV fee 2 days after I completed DS261 and paid my AOS fee! DS260 hasn't opened up yet because both AOS and IV fees are still in process, but calling them to review on the phone definitely speeds things up! We are ready to send our AOS and IV package tomorrow. Hoping for a speedy SD and CC!

Oh, thanks for the update, yes they are definitively speeding up the whole process! I hope that stills like that!

Wishing you that your process keeps fast like that, a really quick scan date and CC and ready for an interview!

P.S my cuban papers are almost done!

Just in 10 days!!

They are going to scan it and send it first thru E-mail in case that I needed first and then by DHL to here!

My wife´s IRS and W2 are ready too, I´m ready!
