Update: I requested a USCIS inquiry to my Congressman. The response says that my case is still under review waiting to be assigned to an adjudication officer. I should expect an answer within 60 days.

I really don't see how this is possible when September filers are getting approvals already. But again, they can say whatever and nobody would know any better because we don't get to see what's going on in the office :( I am so sorry!

Ughhhhhhhhhh, seems to be the common denominator two months, that´s why they always in the website shown the processing times behind the real ones, to have that cover!

This table below is TSC´s times!

How we process cases

This time range is how long it is taking your office to process your case from the date we received it. We generally process cases in the order we receive them, and we will update this page around the 15th of each month. Please note that times may change without prior notice.

We have posted a Case Inquiry Date in the table below to show when you can inquire about your case. If your receipt date is before the Case Inquiry Date, you can submit an “outside normal processing time” service request online.

  1. Estimated time range       Form type                                                                                                                    Case inquiry date
  2. 5 Months to 7 Months        Permanent resident filing for a spouse or child under 21                                    August 31, 2017
  3. 7.5 Months to 9.5 Months U.S. citizen filing for a spouse, parent, or child under 21                                         June 23, 2017
  4. 7.5 Months to 9.5 Months U.S. citizen filing for an unmarried son or daughter over 21                                   June 23, 2017
  5. 5 Months to 7 Months        Permanent resident filing for an unmarried son or daughter over 21                August 31, 2017
  6. 7.5 Months to 9.5 Months U.S. citizen filing for a married son or daughter over 21                                          June 23, 2017
By the way guys, I didn´t notice this USCIS changed the website and the information that I saw made my hair stand on end.
They are taking even up to 9.5 Months to process it!:o Astonishing! Nothing else to say!

Meanwhile, at NVC, they still have no case number for me... It's been 6.5 weeks since my NOA2 and 5 weeks since NVC received my case.

The problem here is that the only way my husband and I can be together is for me to move over there and not the other way round because his background would not enable him to get a job in my country easily, whereas I am a lot more mobile. I also don't have much holding me back in my country (parents divorced, not close to other family members except my father) whereas he is very much family-oriented, so it is easier and more practical for me to move. Being stuck in this whole thing is very, very frustrating as a result. And most certainly, as a teacher, it's not like I can just tell the school I want to leave any time I get my visa. I have to plan in advance. As it is I already had to make the decision of not continuing my contract after it expires in June this year, otherwise my next available time to go is December. So now it looks like I may not get my visa by June... I am just doubly upset.

Wow, it´s so frustrating, I feel your pain, believe me , but one day, this whole thing will be back, and we are no longer feel this pain anymore.

I left my family behind in Cuba, I´m alone here in Colombia (living in my sister in law´s house) and I went thru many challenges, and I´m in a challenge right now.

God tests us, many times really hard! But he doesn´t tests us in a way that we cannot go over it!

Sometimes we think that we are going to fall but in that moment, the test ends, and we feel stronger and more prepared!

I don´t know what else to say, I´m not even knowing were this words are coming from, because this whole March as been terrible to me,these last two weeks I do not wish it to anyone I only want this March ends! And April brings me better and new things! And to you, and to all!

Once upon a time, March was one of my favorite months, due to weather and other factors, the story is changing March 2017 and 2018 are two months that I want to erase from my lifetime!
