Hi everyone!! Help!!

so I have great news—our NOA2 came in and our petition was approved.

However, it’s really weird.

It says that the petition indicated that my husband is in the US (HE ISN’T) and he should now apply for adjustment of status but the petition actually clearly indicated that he would be applying for consular processing.

I’m not sure what to do now because the case has not been received by NVC. My husband has a tourist visa and now we’re afraid he won’t be able to visit/go back and forth between Mexico and the US.

Please help!!! Is it common for NOA2 to state that??

Does anyone know how you can tell if you have a PIVOT case? Is it in the NOA2 letter? We got the online notification of approval but haven't received any letter yet.

Pivot means you can process online at NVC stage.

You can look it up on the link. But if your Pivot you can do everything on the CEAC side.

Oh, my, wait 8 weeks from NOA2 just to get Case Number?

Wow, that´s too much time, I think that after getting it , everything will be faster! And the issue that they have get solved fast, think about being stucked in NSC 11-12 months, and after that another 4-5 months in NVC.

Now the times, I think are good, the whole processing time is fine, let´s look:

1 NOA1 to NOA2 (6 to 7 months average)

2 NOA2 to CC ready to interview (5 months)

3 Interview to Visa in Hand (1 month and a half).

Total time: 13 to 14 months, this is the general average timeframe for IR1/CR1 Visa.
