Of course! Thats understandable. Mehdi & I are actually more relaxed once we married. We feel more calm somehow. I try really hard to not think about the length of time we need to wait. Instead we focus on the "now". It helps!

Its a joyous thing that you are pregnant!! How wonderful! put your focus thee and watch how the time flies by!!!

Well, if you have a Tourist Visa, but, you are in the process, they know it, so you have to enforce that you are going to return, buying a round trip ticket, proving in some way that you are going to go back and be aware at Border Officer questions, because you are going to be red flagged in attemp to stay and if they don't see you in intention to go back, they can deny you the entry and have faculties to do that!

Good afternoon,  how is our August filers doing. It's almost 1 month already or so for others. We are getting closer yeah!!! Just being enthusiastic😊. However I'm getting excited to see that service centers ( Potomac and Texas) are working nicely along. The wait has become bearable or somewhat. I try to think of it like we are still dating ...we video chat and hussy comes to visit once or thrice a year and the time flies by. So keep the faith our time will be here before we know it. Have a great day guys

Dear all,

Been reading for a few days and decided to join in!

I am a Singapore Citizen beneficiary, U.S. petitioner living in the United States.

i-130 and i-130a sent to Chicago Lockbox.

NOA1 Date August 24 2017. Petition sent to Potomac Service Centre

We have known each other online for 17 years now. Met in person in March 2014, and did a courthouse marriage in June this year when I visited him. All in, I have visited him 5 times (difficult to travel as a school teacher, and all that distance-- over 20 hours by flight!) and he is coming to Singapore end November to see me as I am not comfortable visiting him with a pending case. Definitely not looking forward to coming off over 20 hours of flying and being put on the next flight back. We are hoping that it would be a straightforward case that won't take too long, as we are planning a wedding reception in August 2018 in Illinois. I know it sounds weird, but it is pretty common in Singapore for people to be legally married and holding a reception only much later. Needless to say, trying to plan for a reception living so far away and on completely opposite time zones has been rather interesting.

For proof of marriage, we submitted the following:

Marriage certificate

Copies of my insurance policies with him as beneficiary

Nomination of him as beneficiary of my retirement account savings here in Singapore

Notarised letter from his mother

Copy of my divorce certificate

We have lots of photographs together, as well as all my plane tickets, chat logs etc. but we didn't think they were necessary to submit at this stage and were planning to take them at the interview stage. I hope this won't slow things down!
