Meanwhile, Potomac seems to be getting slower and slower. I have seen the estimated adjudication date move by a good 2 months since sending off my i130! I had a dream a few days ago that I got my NOA2 and that I couldn't wait to update it here. I think I am going crazy with the waiting :P

Of course yes, I want to be with my wife ASAP, we have many projects and things to do, but, I´m thinking that sooner than we think we will receive our NOA 2!

A little July approvals are appearing in NSC, and I´m currently answering the DS-260 in a Word Document to have it ready, and collecting all the required documents to have it ready too! And is my advise to you, have ready all the documents , and download this  https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/DS-260 Exemplar.pdf and answer it in an auxiliar word document! It will be a big help when filling it online! Be proactive instead of reactive at NVC stage, remember that, in this stage, the quickness of the 75% of the process depends of us!

I agree. Late 2016 early 2017 Most of I130 petitions at Potomac were approved within 2 to 4 months...

Thanks for the link and advice. I looked at the link, but there isn't really anything that will speed up the process for me if I were to type out answers first. It kind of (almost) feels like a repeat of filling in the i130. And I don't know if it is just me, but I was very irritated when I was doing the i130 because there seems to be a lot of repetition simply because the petitioner and spouse is the same person! Okie, I am just impatient. I don't like repeating myself because I do that a lot in my work (I am a teacher) :P

I have all the documents I need except police certificate (I require the NOA2 to request for it), I believe. And an amended marriage certificate (middle name of father-in-law is spelt wrongly on the one I sent with the i130. I hope it wouldn't cause problems...) I have found out the vaccination shots I need from another Singapore filer and gotten 3 of them done. One more coming up in March, and then I will take the flu shot just before the medical. It is cheaper to do it at a government clinic than the appointed clinic. Been diligently reading the NVC threads-- I advise everyone to do the same. Just to see what problems come up and how to avoid them.

Thank you to all for all the support on this forum. I feel less lonely than I did way back in August!

Yes, many things are repetitive and sometimes irritating, but it is the process, what I am doing is answering them in a Word document, when the NVC stage comes, my agent will be myself, and believe me that in my case I have lived in 2 countries , I'm Cuban, but I live in Colombia and Cuba is in one of the special categories mentioned in the DS260, having to remember directions, work dates, etc, that can not be left until the last minute, that's why I prefer to do it now! In my case, at least, yes it is necessary, I have to remember dates, jobs here and in Cuba and it is complex.
As for the good NVC can not be accelerated, if you do not have everything ready, documentation etc, and we wait to receive the NOA2 to look for it, it is difficult too, in my case the police record takes 21 days and they have to send them from Cuba, and I also have to request the ones from here in Colombia too, so everything has to be carefully measured and ordered! And in the step of NVC if the user does not perform a step, the next one is not unlocked, that's why I said that the delay of at least 75% corresponds to us, the part of them is when they already finish, until you assign interview date!

@Jhonny yup yours is complex and definitely a good advice for anyone in similar situations. It’s a lot easier for me, so I am hoping to sail through NVC. Well, I can always hope. Once I get to interview stage I should be fine. The embassy here is not difficult (helps to be a VWP country I guess!) and I don’t expect to wait too long for interview either. There just aren’t many filers from my teeny weeny country 😁
