Hey guys, just wanted to ask something if there are people with similar experiences.

So i was put in removal proceedings back in 2014 but because i applied U- visa i was given Motion of continuance.

 Since then i check in with local immigration office every 5-6 months or so.

Last year i married my wife and we sent only I-130 because Immigration doesn't have jurisdiction over my case and it's only court who decides about my stay or deportation.

My question is - because i'm currently in removal can it affect my case ?

RFE question, to those who have knowledge or experience:

1. Upon sending the requested rfe will the petitioner receive an email from the service center after few days that they receive item needed and will be reviewed?;

2.if yes,how long does it take?;

3.or just have to wait for the "approved letter" or their decision letter whichever via mail and/or email?;

4.which happens to take 21days or more,correct?

Wow, I´m loosing my hopes with this, yesterday I wrote them, and I will keep updated...

I don't think they bother at all if the number was never entered into the system. I doubt they are going to dig out the file just to key in the number. More likely they will get to our files and then update the system with the outcome and that's probably when it will finally work. The congresswoman's office rep said she will follow up on the case a month after our initial request. That will be 18 February, so it's just 3 more days to go. I am hoping to get a surprise before that though...

Well, based on my acquired experience , and what I´ve read here, when the response to a RFE is sended , they just review it, and the next thing you´ll receive is the approval OR another RFE, that can happen!

You have to keep updated thru case number online, and it should show RFE response was received! In case that the case number works, my case number hasn´t worked never, so I´m blind and sending inquiries for this reason!

Have you all a great day!

You´re welcome,and sorry, USCIS´s answer to a RFE can take up to 30 to 60 months, can be sooner, or later than that, some RFE´s USCIS answers get their NOA 2 just a few days after that, after two weeks, another in 90 days, is depends!

I forgot to answer you this! :oops:

The big picture is that at least, your case reached the top of the list!

You are correct the big picture is they open the case; meaning they gone through the papers and find what is missing or other supporting documents needed...
