Hello everyone, and congrats to @Jhonny in particular! I have been back in the US for almost 3 weeks after heading back to Singapore for a short visit and been busy getting settled as well. I got my driver's licence (yay!). Sadly, trying to open bank accounts hasn't been as smooth. I already have an account with Wells Fargo but many banks are offering cash bonuses for opening accounts with them, and I thought, why let my money sit and do nothing right. Sadly it isn't easy for a green card holder to open an account online. Just a heads up for everyone that you probably need to go to the bank in person, even if you have an SS card, in order to open accounts. If you are thinking of banking with HSBC, they require 3 years of residency, by the way.

As usual, drop me a private message if I can help you guys out with anything ok? :)

got the interview date today for Nov 1st!  only thing is it clashes with our school inspection... i was wondering if i should travel 2x once in school holidays for the medical and again for the interview as i need to book flights so it's quite expensive. I originally wanted to do everything in the same trip... so i was wondering...  How far in advance should you schedule the medical so that the results are already at the interview?

Depends on your medical center how fast do they work.mostly book at least one or 2weeks before the interview as it takes time to prepare the results.
