Hi Mohammad,

I'm in the same situation too, I'm an American and petitioned for my Syrian wife. her interview is next month.
I have heard of some friends that they got the Visa after five days, some others got it after a month.
I just wanted to ask you about the question they asked your wife to answer, is it a form and has a number ? i want to make sure my wife hand them this form during the interview and not after.
Also did you submit a waiver during the interview or the counselor did it for her ?
I wish you the best of luck.

The officer will ask her to submit a form called ds5535. I had my interview on February and since I’m syrian the officer advised that He will submit a waiver for me, so at the same day he sent me the form via email and asked me to fill it and send it back by email. I did send it back on the same day and since then I’m on Administrative processing.

Are those questions about her travel history, her sibling names and social media accounts?

yes

Exactly that the form that I was talking about. She should send it back ASAP so the officer can start the waiver process and the security check ups and they will put her case on Adminstrative process till they inform you about the final decesion.

you can track the visa status online

Don’t worry they will change it to Administrative process whenever you send them the answers of the questions

the question is about the weaver ? should i send it or not ? and why he says nothing about it ? and why he only ask for the question not with the weaver form ?

and what is this ((  proclamation  ))

There is no form for waiver, the questions they asked you are the same question in the ds5535 form it is the same thing.

what they mean by the “proclamation” is the order that was issued by Mr Trump banning Syrian and other nationalities from getting visa to US.
