Please help i received this responds regards to my daughter petition file august 31 2017 CA. The first email says in 45 day I'm really confused now

According to our records, your petition is assigned to an officer and under review. While we are unable to predict a specific date by which a decision will be rendered in your case, you will receive further correspondence in due course.

I feel so sad for you. This is really unfortunate..The basic thing is they prefer the Ir1/Cr1 visa category first. But I have seen lot of people get their children approval soon. You write email to the USCIS and call them in every two days ..Keep calling and request them.. unfortunately this is what you can do.Just see what is happening till August 31st as that is your priority date.Till you have the whole month left.keep calling.

I did call them.  They told me to wait, they are behind on the applications.

Wrote to Congresswoman... the office said wait 40 days for status (it has been 20 days)...

We are both in the U.S. (Me and wife), so that's the good news.  Bad news is we want to travel out, but this is stopping us..

I guess I'll just wait longer.  Why can't the process be electronic.. so ancient..  ha

Hi! I really need VJ members help here! So my husband's interview is next week on Aug 14th at Mumbai consulate in India and we are a bit confused about one of the questions on DS-260 that we already filled out with the help of a lawyer -

My husband has been to USA previously on student visa (F-1) and after doing his masters he then got approved for I-797 (basically NOA stating his petition was approved for H1B).  He traveled to India after our engagement and when he went to the US Consulate in Inida for visa stamping they gave him a 221 (g) form and it is under administrative processing until now! So went ahead and filed for spouse visa after getting married last summer in India.

So one of the questions on DS-260 under section " Previous US travel Info"- " Have you ever been issued a US visa and the visa classification." We answered "YES" and for the visa classification my lawyer suggested to write "H-1B visa." But me and my husband feels that it should be F-1 visa insted of H-1B since he never got the H-1B visa and the status still says under administrative processing.

Please help as I am freaking out and his bio metrics appointment is this Thursday!

Hello everyone, and I apologise for my silence! I have been trying to settle into my new life (been here in the US for over 3 weeks). Feel free to tag me or drop me a message or whatever if there's anything I can help with!

There isn't really anything your husband can do at this point except to be absolutely honest if asked about this...
