I know depressing it feels because I was once in your situation. We got our approval 5days shy away from 11months.

Contact your Congressman because that was what we finally did and it helped tremendously.

Prayers going up for you and your spouse.

Hello, I want to really thank you guys VJ family for helping me through this Journey. My husbands Visa was approved yesterday and he picked up his passport today…that said it was a very difficult process at the Embassy.

His interview was scheduled July 24th  He got to the Embassy at 7:30am and was called up for the interview at about 9am. The process started very normal with the CO asking him basic questions like who is the petitioner, how did you two meet, where does she live and so on, then he switched to asking him “When did you return from the U.S”  my husband told him he had never been to the U.S, he asked again, and he said the same thing. So the CO told my husband that if he continue lying his case will be jeopardized. My husband told him again he had Never been to the US, he then asked him if he Knew some guy(I don’t want to write his name here) My husband responded with YES, that guy had stolen my bag pack with all my documents in 2014. Apparently the guy tried to use his papers to apply for a visa, thank God my husband had filed a police report and also Emailed the U.S, French and British Embassies to alert them incase the guy tried to use his docs to travel to those countries.

At this Point the CO asked him more questions about me where does she work, how much I earn. And then gave him a piece of paper telling him he needs more evidence of our relationship specifically all our whatsapp communication since 2015 (which we honestly did not have 2015 -2016 communications saved except for a few months in 2015 I had backed up).

We put together the following; I wrote a letter to the embassy and notarized explaining why we cant get all the conversations, and all the evidence we had provided for bonafide marriage, printed out all the whatsapp texts and call logs we had (they were over 3000 pages), printed more pictures, made more affidavits from friends and family, made a CD with videos, took the email my husband had written to the embassy when his docs were stolen, and returned yesterday 07/25.

The CO called him and asked him for the proves and out of the 3000 pages he only went over one, the letter I wrote and also the email that was sent to them about the stolen docs. Co asked who I stay with and to name all my siblings and where they stay, he did, and then he told him your visa is approved come back tomorrow.

When he left, they called him and said we need a co sponsor because I live with my siblings even though my income is more than twice the poverty limit, I have never claimed any of my siblings as dependents.  We went ahead and got a co sponsor last night and did all the paper work emailed to the embassy as requested and got the auto response from the embassy and this morning the status changed from administrative processing to Issued. But when my husband went back today to pick up the passport, he was informed they did not receive the email. He had to leave the embassy go print out all the forms for the co sponsor before he could get the passport and the visa, he was asked more questions about who is th co sponsor where they live etc. The order of his names were wrong on the visa but at this point he just wanted to get out of the embassy.

That is the story. Thank God even though we went through a lot the past 3 days, at the end the visa was approved and issued. His ticket is booked for aug 02.

Sorry for the long Explanation,  I can breathe now.

Wish everyone still waiting for case complete, interview date and those who are interviewing soon all the best.

Congrats to you and your hubby! Your husband interview was not easy at all but now it is all over. Thanks for sharing the details, best wishes to you both
