Have you received the receipt and how long does it take from the time u sent it?

They sent the I-797C 6 days after receiving our form and that took a week or so to arrive in the mail.

Here is a link UCSIS' web page on expeditions. https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume1-PartA-Chapter12.html

USCIS may expedite a petition or application if it meets one or more of the following criteria:

Severe financial loss to company or person;

Emergency situation; [2]

Humanitarian reasons; [3]

Nonprofit organization whose request is in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States; [4]

Department of Defense or national interest situation; [5]

USCIS error; or

Compelling interest of USCIS.

Hi there.

I see that some people who applied in July are getting their NOA2.  That means we should be getting updates soon! :)

Just a quick question, though.  I'm still getting an error message when I check my Case Status Online.  Is that normal?  Will that only change when my I-130 is processed?

Here's the error message from https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do:

  • My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Nebraska August filers here, it seems to be normal. I believe they will update once I-130 is approved although some times it will never get updated ever and you’ll just get NOA2 mail.

Yeah, but what Center? Those of us at the dreaded Nebraska Center probably won’t get ours until April/May. On the upside January flew by so hopefully so do the other months.
