OMG! So, I called the NVC, just now, to see if I have been given a case number. The first operator told me that my case was sent to CEAC (Pivot Case), and I needed to hang up and press option 5. Did that, and the operator told me that although I was approved April 19th, and the NVC received it on May 2nd, the approximate 8 week countdown starts when CEAC received my case, which was May 9th! She said it was how long it would take to do some data entry on a case...ummm.....what?! The heck you got to type that takes 8 weeks? It's electronic anyways, so let me type it, then, goodness! Just needed to vent, but I'm alright lol  

Ugh, I feel your pain @LadyTT357! 

I called yesterday too as they told me it was not going to take longer than 8 weeks to get my case number (NOA2 March 15th, NVC received it March 30th).  So when I finally called after memoral day weekend, I was only told I still don't have a case number and they aren't sure how long it will take.  My embassy is moving to CEAC but they have no visibility on why it is taking so long and just said to keep calling once a week  . And then he said it would be 6-7 weeks more processing once they got my files before they pass over to the embassy. 

We had really been hoping to move back to the US by August (we have two small children so all live over in Australia together but hoping to move back home to be with my parents) and whilst that seemed like a possibility when we got our NOA2 in March, this NVC process seems to be taking so long and so discouraging

I understand. .its discouraging at times but everything will work out soon. .it took exactly 8 weeks for me to get my case number. .stay strong

Same thing is happening with me.my Noa2 was on 6th March and NVC received it on 30th March.I'm from India and it' s non pivot.Week 8 is over.now on week 9.Nothing yet.God knows what they are doing.last time they said they gonna transferred that to a supervisor. I really want to be there by august.so frustrated currently.I thought they are actually taking 6-8 weeks for non pivot cases.But seems like non pivot & pivot everything is becoming same. 😭😭😭 I hope all of us just get our Case numbers soon.

Hey guys..ms_ bobdog ..jhonny ... received my case number Tuesday ..and  submitted the ds 261 lastnight...am seeing both fees should we go ahead and pay them or should we wait a few days until the ds 261 is processed? Have a great day guys

filled IV application and submit all docs 5-30-18.

mine is pivot / ceas case - online processing. 

had hard time uploading big file.. had to rescan.

suggestion, go to setting and select small file when scanning. 

2mb is max per upload.

 

also affidavit of support -  did electronic sign... by adding signature in pdf file. 

nvc recived case april 11, 2018 - priority date was August 07, 2017.

If the system lets you, go ahead and pay both fees. Also if you already received email with cover page you can mail your documents to NVC.

U mean the ds 261 confirmation page? Or the nvc welcome letter which was emailed to my wife?

Can be possible.Seriously I am loosing my Patience. This wait is worse than the I-130 approval waiting.Why they are making things so delay God knows.Why they don't understand how important and urgent a visa can be 😭😭😭😭😭😭.u too from India right? Did u get your interview letter or r u still on it?

no i got done with my DS260 online and sending  I 864 and other documents tomorrow. I have seen lot of cases of august filling from Texas centre having issue even getting NOA2. 

 

Hopefully u will get case number soon and its easy after that probably done within two weeks.

Yes I will be applying for Pcc here in Kolkata.I will get an appointment on Monday.let's see
